The submission process is fully online via the website: https://congress.abcfarm.org.br.
Applicants are strongly advised to carefully read the submission guidelines at the time of registration. Only papers that strictly comply with the rules, follow the required format, and are submitted within the established deadline will be considered.
- Abstracts must be submitted by July 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM (GMT-3);
- Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be accepted;
- Abstracts that remain in draft status after the deadline will not be considered;
- Abstracts sent by email will not be accepted;
- Abstracts must comply with all required guidelines to be accepted.
REGISTRATION
- The submitting author must have their registration fee fully paid.
- Participants who choose to pay the registration fee via commitment note (Nota de Empenho) must send, to the event secretariat at abcf@bureaudeeventos.com.br, an official statement from their institution. This document must include the payment authorization and specify the PARTICIPANT’S NAME / CATEGORY / REGISTRATION FEE AMOUNT, according to the fee schedule, and indicate that the payment will be made via commitment note (Nota de Empenho). This is required to enable access to the paper submission system.
ATTENTION:
Submission of the official commitment note (Nota de Empenho) by the institution is mandatory in order to complete on-site registration at the event secretariat.
AUTHORSHIP
Papers must include at least one author holding a completed higher education degree, who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all requirements, including ethical and environmental approval of the submitted work.
CO-AUTHORSHIP
In the case of co-authorship, all co-authors must be included in the submission by the applicant, with a maximum of six (6) co-authors per paper. The submitting author is responsible for correctly providing the name(s) and institutional affiliation(s) of all co-author(s).
LANGUAGE
All papers must be submitted in English.
NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS
Each registered participant may submit one (1) paper.
SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Proposals must be submitted in the form of an abstract, regardless of the chosen presentation format: Oral Presentation or Poster.
At the time of submission, the applicant must:
- Complete the registration form with their personal information;
- Select the thematic area under which the proposal will be submitted;
- In the abstract, include the following information:
- Title – limit of 255 (two hundred and fifty-five) characters;
- Authors and institutional affiliations;
- Text of up to 2000 characters (two thousand – including spaces), containing Introduction (optional), Objective(s), Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion;
- Three (3) keywords;
- Funding agencies.
- Only abstracts that are properly “saved” will be considered submitted;
- Upon submission, an email will be sent to the author containing the code, title, and abstract.
The following will not be accepted:
- Abstracts in Portuguese (or any language other than English);
- Abstracts that do not clearly state their objectives, results, and conclusions;
- Only literature reviews with a clear and detailed methodology—such as systematic reviews, meta-analyses, integrative reviews, or qualitative reviews—will be accepted;
- Submissions lacking clarity, relevance, or originality;
- The notification of acceptance or rejection will be available in the restricted area under “My Abstracts”;
- It will not be possible to include graphs or images in the abstract.
CORRECTIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS
- During the period from August 6, 2026 to August 12, 2026, abstracts submitted in the second call may be edited for corrections and adjustments. After August 12, 2026, no further changes will be allowed.
- After submitting the abstract on the website, it will not be possible to make any changes to the data or the content of the submission. This includes: author information, addition of new authors, title, introduction, materials and methods, results, conclusion and keywords, thematic area, type of work, etc.
- Applicants are advised to carefully review the abstract before final submission to ensure that all information is correct. Corrections after submission will not be permitted under any circumstances.
EVALUATION PROCESS
- Papers will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, which will determine the appropriate presentation format: Oral Presentation or Poster.
- During the review process, evaluators may reassign the thematic area selected by the submitting author at the time of submission.
- The Scientific Committee will select the proposals that will compete for the Best Papers Award of the event.
Abstract evaluation criteria:
- Relevance to the congress theme;
- Scientific content;
- Originality, relevance, and quantity of results;
- Quality of writing.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST DECLARATION
Authors are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest in the designated field on the submission platform.
ORIGINALITY DECLARATION (AI)
Authors must declare that the work is their exclusive authorship and that it was not generated or substantially produced using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
PRESENTATION FORMAT
ORAL PRESENTATION
- Presentation slides must be in English;
- The presentation (spoken delivery) should preferably be in English;
- All abstracts selected for oral presentation will compete for the Best Oral Presentation Award;
- The maximum presentation time is 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers;
- The electronic file of the presentation must be submitted in advance; detailed instructions will be provided soon;
- Preferably, the file should be in PowerPoint format (ppt or pptx) or PDF (Portable Document Format);
- Please arrive at the session room at least 15 minutes before the start time;
- Abstracts selected for oral presentation must NOT be presented as posters.
POSTER PRESENTATION:
- The poster must include the title, authors’ names, and affiliations;
- The poster title must be the same as the accepted abstract;
- The content must be in English;
- The presentation (spoken explanation) should preferably be in English;
- Dimensions: 0.90 m x 1.20 m (width x height);
- It must include: introduction, objectives, methodology, results and discussion, and conclusions;
- Poster presentation is MANDATORY;
- The poster number and presentation location will be available in the restricted area under “ABSTRACTS” and will also be displayed in the online abstract book;
- The ABCF Congress is not responsible for posters that are not removed or are lost;
- Posters will be visited by one or more members of the evaluation committee pre-selected by the Organizing Committee. These members may or may not identify themselves;
- Evaluation criteria include: quality of the work and presentation, and the presenter’s ability to contextualize the work within the relevant literature;
- Poster presentations will be scheduled at one of the following times:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, November 12, 13, and 14, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
