INSTRUCTIONS

Abstract submission deadline – Jun 30TH, 2024

Approved Abstract notification – Aug 05TH, 2024

  • Abstracts must be submitted by the deadline of Jun 30th, 2024, 23:59 h GMT-3;
  • Late submissions will not be accepted;
  • Abstracts still in Draft status after the deadline will not be considered;
  • Abstracts by e-mail will not be accepted;
  • The payment of the registration fee of one of the authors entitles the registration of 1 abstract.

Abstracts must meet the required specifications to be accepted.

Presentation Format

ORAL PRESENTATION:

  • The presentation must be in English, including your slides;
  • All abstracts selected for oral presentation are eligible for the Best Oral Presentation Award.
  • The maximum time for your presentation is 10 minutes, following by a 5-minute question and answer period;
  • You should submit the electronic presentation file 2 hours before the start of the session at the Media Desk room.
  • Preferably, the file should be in PowerPoint format (ppt or pptx) or Portable Document Format (pdf).
  • Please be in the session room at least 15 minutes before it starts.
  • The abstract selected for oral presentation should NOT be displayed as a poster.
 

POSTER PRESENTATION:

  • The poster must contain the authors’ title, name and affiliation;
  • The title of the poster must be the same as the accepted abstract;
  • The poster must be written and presented in English;
  • Measure: 0.90m x 1.20m (width x height) with string for hanging;
  • They should include: objectives, methodology, results and conclusions.
  • Presentation of the poster is MANDATORY.
  • The poster number and presentation location will be available in the restricted area under “ABSTRACTS” and also displayed in the online abstract book;
  • CIFARP is not responsible for work not taken or lost;
  • The panels will be visited by one or more members of the evaluation committee pre-selected by the Organizing Committee. These members may or may not identify themselves.
  • The criteria evaluated are: quality of work and presentation, ability of the presenter to insert his work in the specific literature.
  • The poster presentation will be assigned to one of the following slots:
  • Tuesday, wednesday, thursday November 12th, 13th e 14th 12:00 – 13:30 PM

How to submit your abstract

It will only be possible to submit the abstract after registering for the VII ABCF CONGRESS.

Abstracts can be submitted only electronically. To raise it, click on ABSTRACTS.

A. RULES:

Click on ABSTRACTS, read the rules, and agree to continue.

B. AUTHORS

The author submitting the abstract will appear as the first author. The authorship order can be changed when registering new authors by selecting the “Author Position” field.
Click on ADD ANOTHER AUTHOR until you complete the authors of your work. If the author is already registered in our database, start typing the name in “Author name,” and the system will bring up options.

  • The main author is equivalent to the first author;
  • Indicate the presenter;
  • Fill in each author’s Institution, city, state, and country fields.

Each author’s full name and CPF or e-mail will be requested for internal control.

C. SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACTS

The abstract must be written in English.

  • Insert the title – limit of 255 (two hundred and fifty-five) characters;
  • Select the area of knowledge of the work;
  • Select the form of presentation: Poster or Oral
  • Report on funding. If any, specify the funding agency and project number;
  • Insert the abstract body – limit of 2000 (two thousand) characters with space. It should not include tables, graphs, or figures.
  • Include 3 keywords in the indicated fields;
  • Click save.

You will receive an e-mail with your Abstract code, title, and abstract.

Abstracts Analysis

Abstracts will be evaluated considering the following:

  • Matter pertinent to the meeting;
  • Scientific content;
  • Originality, relevance, and quantity of results;
  • Writing quality.

IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED:

  • Abstracts in Portuguese (or languages other than English);
  • Abstracts that are not explicit in their objectives, results, and conclusions;
  • We do not accept literature review;
  • Lack of clarity, relevance, and originality.
  • Notification of acceptance or refusal will be available in the restricted area in “My Abstracts.”
